MISSION STATEMENT


This competition is part of Montréal’s First Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development and Montréal’s 2025 Economic Development Strategy. It is open to manufacturers seeking to minimize the environmental impacts of their production processes by reducing their use of hazardous materials and upstream waste and their pollutant emissions.

The Ecosustainable Production & Design Competition aims to:

- Promote product life cycle management, a decision-making tool for businesses;

- Foster the creation or alteration of everyday items within the framework of sustainable development;

- Foster the demand for eco-friendly products;

- Foster the demand for industrial designers and ecodesigners.
